How to become CA after 12th:
Register for the CA Foundation Course: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducts the CA exams. Register for the CA Foundation Course with the ICAI after completing your 12th grade or while appearing for your 12th board exams
Clear the CA Foundation Exam: Prepare for and appear for the CA Foundation Exam, which consists of four papers. The subjects covered in this exam include Accounting, Mercantile Law, General Economics, and Quantitative Aptitude. Clearing the CA Foundation Exam is a prerequisite to proceed further.
Enroll for CA Intermediate Course: After clearing the CA Foundation Exam, enroll for the CA Intermediate Course. This course consists of two groups with a total of eight subjects. During the Intermediate level, you will study topics such as Accounting, Corporate Laws, Taxation, Auditing, Cost and Management Accounting, etc.
Complete Articleship/Practical Training: Alongside the CA Intermediate Course, you are required to undergo a practical training period known as Articleship. Articleship involves working under a practicing Chartered Accountant to gain practical knowledge and experience. The duration of articleship is three years.
Clear CA Intermediate Exam: Prepare for and appear for the CA Intermediate Exam after completing the required period of practical training. Clearing both groups of the CA Intermediate Exam is necessary to progress further.
Register for CA Final Course: After completing the CA Intermediate level, register for the CA Final Course. The Final course consists of two groups with a total of eight subjects. The subjects covered in this course include Financial Reporting, Strategic Financial Management, Advanced Auditing, Direct and Indirect Tax Laws, etc.
Complete Articleship/Practical Training (Part II): After passing either Group I or both groups of the CA Final Exam, you need to complete the second part of your practical training. This second phase is called Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS), which includes Advanced Information Technology Training and Management and Communication Skills Training.
Clear the CA Final Exam: Prepare for and appear for the CA Final Exam after completing the required period of practical training and the AICITSS. Clearing both groups of the CA Final Exam and fulfilling all other requirements leads to becoming a Chartered Accountant.
